Bubble Bobble is one of the pillars of eighties arcades: Taito created Bub and Bob, two dragons who trap enemies in bubbles and then pop them to advance floor by floor through vertical levels, with that mix of platforming and puzzle that defined the "platform-puzzle" genre of the time. This Japanese entry for PSP, subtitled "Magical Tower Daisakusen," adds levels and variants of its own to the classic formula.
Its presence on PSP confirms how much staying power these classic arcade games still had in Japan well into the era of 3D-graphics handhelds.
