Advanced Daisenryaku 2001 belongs to Daisenryaku ('Grand Strategy'), one of Japan's longest-running turn-based wargame sagas, with historical units, terrain management, and logistics on a hex-grid board, in the military simulation tradition SystemSoft had been cultivating since the home computers of the '80s.
Like nearly the entire series, it never crossed borders: it depends completely on text and on a wargaming tradition that in the West lived mostly on PC. Today it's one more piece for anyone mapping out the complete Japanese strategy catalog of Dreamcast, a niche genre the console welcomed with unusual generosity.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
