Card of Destiny - Hikari to Yami no Tougousha combines RPG structure with a card-based combat system, developed by the small Japanese studio Abel for the final stretch of Dreamcast's catalog. The premise pits factions of light and darkness against each other, a Manichean dualism typical of Japanese fantasy RPGs of the era.
It's a minor title even within its own genre, with no impact outside Japan; its interest today is mainly for collectors tracking the huge number of card-and-RPG hybrids the Japanese market tried in the '90s and 2000s.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
