Developed by American studios AWE Games and Black Lantern Studios and published by DreamCatcher Interactive in 2009, the game adapts the 1936 novel in which Poirot and Captain Hastings pursue a killer who leaves clues in alphabetical order. The structure is the typical one for investigation adventures of the era: inspecting crime scenes, gathering clues, and interrogating suspects with the stylus.
Unlike other Christie adaptations, it offers the option to play with a different killer than the one in the original novel, which changes the clues and testimonies on a second playthrough. Critical reception was lukewarm at the time, and today it mostly interests those who follow the author's video game adaptations closely.
