Into the Inferno took the animated Nickelodeon series' final episodes -Book 3, with the invasion on the Day of Sozin's Comet as its climax- and turned them into an elemental combat action game where you could control Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, and Zuko, each with their own bending style. Like much of the era's licenses, it prioritized faithfulness to the source material over gameplay innovation. For fans of the series it remains a curious way to relive the ending of that story in interactive form, though its combat design is merely competent. It's one more piece of the wave of animation-licensed games that defined much of PS2's children's catalog.
