89 - La Révolution Française belongs to the wave of educational programs France produced around 1989, the year of the bicentennial, to bring revolutionary history to students who already had a computer in the classroom or at home. Like much French didactic software of the period, it combined text, chronology and some kind of tour or quiz to fix concepts.
It is one of the titles this catalog preserves more for its documentary value than for its playability: a postcard of how French educational computing approached national anniversaries in the middle of the Atari era.
