3DO brings its plastic soldier franchise to Game Boy Color with top-down action: Sarge advances through household settings turned into war fronts, dodging magnifying glasses, puddles, and mines while shooting down enemy troops. The kid-friendly premise coexists with an unforgiving difficulty. The first handheld chapter of a series 3DO milked relentlessly in the late nineties.
