AlphaDream, a studio founded by Squaresoft veterans, pulled the brothers out of the Mushroom Kingdom and dropped them into the Beanbean Kingdom for a comedy built on joint acrobatics, where every attack gets a boost from precise button timing. This is where Fawful made his debut, the broken-syntax, theatrically furious minion who became a Nintendo cult villain. Charles Martinet's babbling voice work and the game's self-parodying humor keep it feeling as fresh as ever.
