Konami packed all of classic horror cinema into six stages: Dracula, the Mummy, Frankenstein, and Death itself, all falling before Simon Belmont's Vampire Killer whip. It was born on the Japanese Famicom Disk System before jumping to cartridge. The end credits are pure cinephile love, parodying the names of the genre's classic actors — Christopher Bee for Christopher Lee, Boris Karloffice for Boris Karloff.
