Final Fantasy Tactics is a turn-based tactical RPG developed by Square for PlayStation in 1997, directed by Yasumi Matsuno. Set in the fictional kingdom of Ivalice, it tells the story of the Fifty Years' War through the eyes of Ramza Beoulve. Its class system and mature narrative made it a benchmark for the turn-based strategy subgenre.
