Art of Fighting 3: The Path of the Warrior (Art of Fighting - Ryuuko no Ken Gaiden in Japan) is the fighting game SNK released in 1996 for the Neo Geo, a prequel centered on Robert Garcia that steps away from the lead role Ryo Sakazaki held in the previous two entries. The engine incorporates smoother movement and more elaborate combos than its predecessors, moving closer to the visual language King of Fighters already dominated by then. It's the close of the original saga before SNK concentrated its efforts on the KOF crossover universe. It's played today as an interesting transitional piece: less remembered than Fatal Fury or KOF, but with a technical polish that surprises those who discover it late.
