Bubble Memories: The Story Of Bubble Bobble III (1996) is the continuation of the saga Taito started in 1986 with Bubble Bobble, where the dragons Bub and Bob travel through fixed-screen levels trapping enemies in bubbles to pop them, with two-player cooperation as the heart of the design.
It arrives at a time when the fixed-screen platform-puzzle genre no longer dominated arcades, but keeps intact the formula that made the series famous: surface simplicity, pattern depth, and that so-recognizable festive air. It's still enjoyed today, above all, with company.
