Aero Dancing featuring Blue Impulse cemented the series as one of Dreamcast's most detailed flight simulators, with a demanding flight model and the chance to fly in formation with the real Blue Impulse aerobatic squadron. It was developed by CRI, a Japanese company better known for its video and audio game technology than for its own titles.
It remained a Japanese exclusive, off the Western radar, but among console aviation fans it has a reputation as one of the most serious simulators of its generation, far from the lighthearted arcade feel of other plane games of the time.
