Boku to, Bokura no Natsu ('Me, and our summer') leans on the nostalgic childhood-summer aesthetic that Japanese fiction of the era exploited so much -coastal towns, lifelong friends, the feeling that something is ending- to build a slow-paced narrative story. It fits within the lineage of adventures and visual novels Dreamcast received almost exclusively for Japan toward the end of its commercial life.
With no release outside its original market, today it's a piece reserved for anyone closely following that kind of Japanese narrative from the era and able to read it in its original language.
