Infogrames adapts Goscinny and Uderzo's comic into a platformer where Asterix travels across Gaul punching out Roman legionaries. The sprite work honors the style of the original print art, and the levels recreate recognizable settings from the village and its surroundings. A European licensed product, competent and affectionate toward its source, though without design surprises.
