Rare adapted the plot of Donkey Kong Country 2 to Game Boy in 1996: Diddy and Dixie rescuing Donkey from Kaptain K. Rool's clutches. Like the first Land, it isn't a direct port but a game with its own stages. The pre-rendered technique once again squeezes the monochrome screen to its limits.
