Fushigi na Blobby bets on a shapeshifting protagonist, in tune with the elastic-mascot trend Kirby had popularized a few years earlier, in a jump-and-dodge adventure designed for short handheld sessions.
It stayed confined to the Japanese market and never had much impact beyond its borders, but it's representative of that subgenre of "cute" platformers that Game Boy piled up by the dozens during the '90s.
