Call of Duty 2 - Big Red One, developed by Treyarch, is a different entry from the PC Call of Duty 2 made by Infinity Ward: it follows the actual path of the US Army's First Infantry Division, the Big Red One, from North Africa to Germany.
Its focus on a specific unit and its more intimate storytelling than other war shooters of the time set it apart within a saga that was just beginning to define its console identity.
