Tamagotchi - Minna de Tamagotchi World took Bandai's digital-pet phenomenon, at its peak of popularity in the late nineties, and turned it into a minigame compilation meant to be played in groups, using the board-game format that dominated this kind of licensed character title on consoles.
Like a good chunk of the licensed catalog Nintendo 64 received almost exclusively for the Japanese market, it survives today more as a period curiosity than as a title sought out for its gameplay: a direct testament to how much Tamagotchi weighed in Japanese pop culture back then.
