Camping Mama carries the Cooking Mama series' timed-minigame formula into an outdoor setting: pitching a tent, fishing, building a campfire, cooking outdoors, all resolved with quick stylus gestures that reward precision and timing over planning.
It's a logical thematic extension of one of DS's most successful minigame franchises, and while it doesn't stray from the original formula, that change of setting adds variety to a saga that already had several entries under its belt.
