Published to accompany the release of the 2013 DreamWorks Animation film, the game gathers minigames starring Eep, Grug, and the rest of the Croods family, set in the prehistoric, fantastical world the film presents, with the typical structure of low-budget film adaptations of the time.
It arrived near the end of DS's commercial life cycle, when 3DS already dominated Nintendo's handheld market, making it one of the last movie licenses published for the original console.
