Vic Tokai signed one of the NES's most forward-thinking action adventures: a branching-route map, a power shop, eccentric bosses, and a pink-haired hero that decades later would be honored by Scott Pilgrim. Its freedom of exploration and absurd humor made it a cult game. Less polished than the big names, but with more ideas than most of them.
