Fatal Fury F-Contact, part of the Pocket Fighting Series SNK devoted to the Neo Geo Pocket Color in 1999, adapts the Fatal Fury cast and combat system to a handheld format with simplified controls that stay true to the series' technical spirit, including the two-plane sidestep movement that defines the franchise. It shares its family tree with other SNK "pocket" adaptations, like King of Fighters R and Samurai Shodown, all built to deliver one-on-one fighting with the same depth as their arcade counterparts. It's one of the key pieces of a handheld fighting catalog that, at the time, impressed with just how well it pulled everything off, even limited to a low-color screen.
