SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters 2 - Expand Edition is the collectible card game SNK developed and published for Neo Geo Pocket Color in September 2001: unlike the first Card Fighters, which was structured as an RPG with exploration, this sequel goes for a much more direct single-player mode, and from the opening screen the player chooses whether to play for SNK or for Capcom. It adds a hundred and twenty-four new character cards, pulled from franchises like Mega Man Legends, Dino Crisis, and Project Justice.
It stayed a Japan exclusive, but a fan community built and released a full English translation patch in 2008, giving it a second life among Western collectors years after its original release. Alongside its predecessor, it remains one of the most cited gems in the entire Neo Geo Pocket Color catalog.
