An officially licensed video game of the American Idol talent show: the player performs songs in front of a simulated jury and competes to advance through rounds, replicating the structure of the TV format.
Today it's a piece of mid-2000s TV nostalgia, more interesting as a cultural artifact than as a gameplay proposal.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
