Big Mutha Truckers 2 expanded its predecessor's map and routes, putting the player behind the wheel of trucks loaded with goods -not always legal- that had to be delivered from point A to point B while dodging police and rivals. Its irreverent tone and crude humor aligned it more with an action comedy than a transport simulator.
Its mix of arcade driving, buy-and-sell economics, and over-the-top characters gave it an identity of its own within the niche of trucking games, a small genre but one with loyal followers in the PS2 era.
