Unlike the more conventional Cabela's-branded hunting games, Dangerous Adventures focuses on encounters with aggressive animals -bears, crocodiles, lions- in survival situations rather than classic sport hunting. It's compatible with the light-gun peripherals typical of the series.
It was part of the wave of licensed hunting shooters that abounded on PS2 throughout its lifespan. Its appeal today is mostly nostalgic for those who had the peripheral gun at home.
