Delta Force - Black Hawk Down brings NovaLogic's tactical shooter saga to PS2, set in the 1993 American military intervention in Somalia and, particularly, the Battle of Mogadishu that Ridley Scott's film popularized. It offers combat missions in open settings with a team of special forces operators, along the tactical lines that characterized the saga on computers.
As a conversion of a shooter originally made for PC, it suffers a bit with joystick controls, but it keeps the appeal of recreating a real conflict rarely explored by video games of the time compared to the saturation of World War II-set titles.
