Published by EA Sports to coincide with the 2010 World Cup, this title brought the full World Cup mode to PSP, with all 32 qualified teams and the South African stadiums recreated at handheld scale. Like every seasonally licensed FIFA game, its shelf life was meant to run alongside the real tournament, not outlast it.
Today it survives as a soccer time capsule: the rosters and names point back to one specific World Cup, which gives it nostalgic value for anyone who lived through it at the time, even though as a simulator it has since been thoroughly surpassed.
