A PSP launch title from 2005, Archer Maclean's Mercury bears the name of the British designer responsible for classics like International Karate and Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker. The concept is simple and addictive: tilt platforms to shift a mass of liquid mercury, splitting it, merging it, and guiding it through increasingly intricate puzzles against the clock.
It's one of the most elegant examples of working around the original PSP's missing gyroscope using analog control for a physics-puzzle genre, and it's still remembered as one of the best pieces of the console's launch lineup in Europe and the United States.
