A tactical RPG from Squaresoft: squads fighting turn-based battles alongside dragons you raise and feed, whose diet shapes how they evolve. A mature story of broken loyalties and a princess who isn't waiting to be rescued. It never left Japan, and Square's fans never quite forgave that. The elegance of the SNES at its very end.
