Boomer Rang'r puts you in the role of Whirley, a caveman, on the search for a lost treasure in prehistoric lands, fighting with a throwable boomerang —one of the first weapons of its kind in arcades— against other cavemen and Jurassic creatures, and even riding dinosaurs at certain points.
It's an early curiosity from Data East, from that stage when the arcade catalog was still feeling out prehistoric fantasies as a setting, before the action genre settled on more recurrent themes.
