Hard Drivin' arrived on the Lynx in 1991, developed by NuFX and published by Atari Corporation, as a conversion of the arcade that Atari Games had revolutionized in 1989 by introducing a driving physics model much more realistic than its competitors', plus a loop as the circuit's central obstacle. The handheld version adjusted that technical ambition to the possibilities of the Lynx hardware, keeping the stunt circuit and the race against the clock as central pillars. It's one of the most technically ambitious conversions in the Lynx catalog, a direct heir to an arcade that had forever changed expectations of what a driving game could simulate.
