Mutant Insects continues the Battle of Giants series formula: choose and raise an insect -beetles, mantises, spiders- to pit against others in direct battles, with a species-collecting layer as the replay driver. It's aimed at the same young audience that consumed the same series' dinosaur entry: less an entomological simulation than an excuse for one-on-one combat between big bugs.
