Namco adapted Go Nagai's Devilman to coincide with its animated comeback: Akira Fudo, a human with a demon's heart, alternates exploration with investigation and battles against the demon race. The manga's gothic violence inevitably arrives softened, but the atmosphere survives. A niche piece for Nagai devotees and archaeologists of anime turned cartridge.
