64th. Street - A Detective Story is a 1991 Jaleco beat 'em up starring two investigative cops fighting their way through New York alleys and storefronts against gangs, closely following the formula Capcom had popularized with Final Fight: melee hits, weapons picked up off the ground, and boss fights with their own personality.
It never reached the fame of its direct references, but it's a solid entry in the subgenre, with good scenario variety and eye-catching character art. Worth a look for anyone who's already exhausted the beat 'em up's big names and is looking for less-traveled variants from the same era.
