Alien vs. Predator is a Capcom beat 'em up released in 1994 on CPS-2 hardware, taking the franchise crossover from the identically named comic and turning it into a classic cooperative brawl: up to four players, each with their own fighting style, advancing through levels infested with xenomorphs. Capcom applied the same craft here that it had perfected with Final Fight and Captain Commando, with large sprites and staging faithful to the industrial tone of both films. It's one of the last great beat 'em ups of the genre's golden arcade era, and it remains a required reference both for Alien and Predator fans and for those tracing the end of the Final Fight formula.
