Champion Wrestler is a wrestling game developed and published by Taito in 1989, with a roster of eight wrestlers, each with differentiated stats and special moves, within the tradition of wrestling simulators that Japanese arcades cultivated with some regularity in those years. It got a PC Engine conversion the year after its debut. Decades later, Hamster rescued it for its Arcade Archives line, a gesture that confirms its place as a representative -though not the most famous- piece of late-80s arcade wrestling.
