Crazy Climber 2 is the continuation Nichibutsu released in 1988 of the 1980 original arcade game, keeping its characteristic control scheme with two joysticks -one for each of the climber's hands- to scale skyscrapers while dodging falling objects, windows that suddenly swing open, and other urban dangers, with new buildings and obstacles compared to the first game. It's a sequel little remembered compared to the original's cultural impact, but it retains that very particular control scheme that still feels unlike anything else in the arcade catalog: a mechanical curiosity worth rediscovering.
