Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon 2003 Super Plus [Bootleg]

Despite the title borrowed from Ang Lee's famous film, this is actually a mahjong game with layers of combat or symbolic wagering, in line with IGS's huge production for the Asian market of the 2000s. This edition circulates as a 'Bootleg' version, an unofficial variant common in the Chinese and Taiwanese board preservation scene. It's representative of an entire segment of Asian arcades little known in the West: that of tabletop and gambling games with layers of fan-service, which sustained an enormous parallel industry during the 2000s.
