Dottori Kun is a brief maze game developed by Sega, better known for its role as a hardware test program than as a commercial title: it was used internally to verify the correct functioning of boards and monitors before installing the final software. The mechanic, however, follows the simple logic of collecting objects while dodging enemies. Its interest today is mostly historical and technical: a window into how Sega worked behind closed doors before its boards reached arcades with the actual games.
