E-Jan Sakurasou follows the usual formula of Japanese arcade mahjong: matches against the machine with narrative excuse as a garnish, designed for an audience that already knew the rules by heart and was looking for the latest variant.
Like the vast majority of these titles, it never left Japan, but it's one more example of how much mahjong sustained the Japanese arcade catalog during the 80s and 90s.
