Express Raider is an action arcade game Data East released in 1986, set in the Wild West, where the player must rob a moving train combining melee combat, revolver duels, and horseback chases, in a structure that combines side platforming with the conventions of classic Hollywood westerns.
It's one of the most original titles in Data East's mid-80s catalog, with a setting little exploited by arcades of the time. It holds up well as a thematic curiosity, though its gameplay was somewhat surpassed by the more polished beat 'em ups that would arrive a few years later.
