1st Person Pinball is a pinball simulation for Atari that bets on an unusual camera: instead of the usual top-down view of the pinball games of the time, it puts the player almost at the height of the ball, inside the table itself. It is an uncommon approach in the machine's catalog, closer to the spirit of trying out a camera idea than to replicating a real licensed table. Like most home pinball of those years, it lives on the immediate feel of the bounce and the flipper, not on depth. Today it holds the archaeological interest of seeing how programmers of the era improvised camera solutions with the Atari's limited graphics resources.
