3-D Pac Plus belongs to the huge family of Pac-Man clones and variants that circulated on home computers in the 80s, in this case with a perspective that simulates depth to refresh the formula of the maze, the dots and the chasing ghosts. Titles like this usually appeared in magazines, public-domain disks or independent software catalogs, with no pretension of competing with the official licenses.
Like so many unofficial variants of the time, today it's worth mostly as a piece of archaeology: a testament to how any ambitious programmer tried to improve on the Pac-Man formula with whatever resources were at hand.
