Arcade Trivia Quiz brings to the computer the format of the quiz machines that filled British pubs and arcades in the late 80s: fast rounds of general knowledge, a clock squeezing and the permanent temptation of one more game. The genre had its small domestic fever in the glow of television quiz shows.
This edition for Atari computers keeps no firm credits, but the format explains itself: answer, get it right, advance. As a catalog piece it documents an era when useless knowledge was social currency and every living room could become a quiz-show set.
