Computer Countdown brings to the screen the format of the Countdown television show, one of the longest-running game shows on British television, where contestants form the longest possible word from random letters or solve calculations with given numbers, all against the clock. It's an example of the close bond between British television and home software of the era, which turned already-popular game-show formats into playable programs for the whole family.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
