Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story came out in 1994, developed by Virgin Interactive Entertainment and published by Atari Corporation, as an adaptation of the biographical film released that same year: the player moves through settings beating up rivals in an action and melee combat format, freely recreating passages from the actor and martial artist's life. It combines a film license with the fighting formula that dominated much of the era's catalog. It's one of the few movie-licensed games the Jaguar had, and it works as a testament to how Atari sought, without much commercial success, to add recognizable names from outside the strictly gaming universe to its catalog.
