As happened with much of the Jaguar's early cartridges, Iron Soldier went through different board and program revisions throughout its commercial life, and this v1.04 documents one of those versions following the original 1994 release. Gameplay-wise it offers the same first-person mech combat experience that defined the original Iron Soldier, developed by Eclipse Software Design. For the average player, the difference between revisions is nearly imperceptible; its value is mainly documentary, as a record of the manufacturing adjustments the cartridge received over the following months.
