Ninja Gaiden III - The Ancient Ship of Doom is the Atari Lynx adaptation of Tecmo's action saga, published by Atari Corp in 1993, which borrows the name of the third NES entry (1991) to offer a platforming and melee combat experience with the ninja Ryu Hayabusa. It's yet another example of how the Lynx sought to capture the prestige of the era's great action sagas, though the final result strays quite a bit, in structure and scope, from Nintendo's original console entries.
